I don’t know whether I’m more surprised that people leave fruit on the beach
or that crows or mammals haven’t eaten it before I walk past
or how beautiful it can be
or that it can blend in so well.
The other day I discussed with a friend, how different this world would be if we could see other people’s thoughts, feelings, spirit rather than simply the overlay of skin, clothing, body language.
Heldman presents one of the problems with our limited knowledge of others, and more to the point, how women and girls are sexually objectified everywhere and some of the results of this objectification. We rob everyone when we commoditize ourselves and others.
