Elizabeth used the wrap from a bag of lemons and a medical lab’s purple and red tapes for the body. A wine bottle’s metal cork protector provides the face and hair.

This sculpture was inspired by the lab tech. Most often lab techs hear I hate needles yet they collect necessary samples with kindness and compassion despite too little appreciation for their critical work and skill.

Since the yellow webbing wasn’t strong enough to support the weight of the head, she used leftover gold wire with stars, which led to the title.

An avid garage sale seeker once said, one person’s garbage is another’s treasure!
