In these past years, hurts, disappointments, confusion, resistance, loss, e.e. cummings‘ poem says it best:

let it go – the
smashed word broken
open vow or
the oath cracked length
wise – let it go it
was sworn to
go

let them go – the
truthful liars and
the false fair friends
and the boths and
neithers – you must let them go
they were born
to go

let all go – the
big small middling
tall bigger really
the biggest and all
things – let all go
dear

so comes love

Even as a kid I've said it doesn't matter if I live to be 150: this life will be the blink of an eye. Poet, author, visual artist, photographer, educator and lover of life (though still working on the hard parts like Covid, violence, inequity), I'm completing a memoir inspired by and largely about dogs and people.
